Sanju’s Taste of India, 208-478-0172

About Us

UPDATE:  The restaurant is now owned by Tara and Keshab Chhetri of Nepal.

I immigrated to the United States more than ten years ago.  I have been living in eastern Idaho ever since.  We regularly enjoy Indian dinner at home with our family and friends, many of whom wish aloud there was an Indian restaurant in the region.  I sincerely hope they, and YOU, will enjoy the “Home Cooking” I have in store for you.

Cool…was really looking for an Indian restaurant in the Pocatello area.

I am one of the 50 that stopped by on Friday. Sorry we missed you. I’m glad to hear that there is lots of support for your restaurant.

Pocatello welcomes more unique food choices. Don’t worry. I’ll try again.

My husband and I honeymooned in US last May (we are from Australia). We still talk about driving through Pocatello and stopping at a gas station and finding some of the best Indian food we have eaten!! It was such a strange place to find such good food and we were blown away by the hospitality. It was certainly a very random highlight of our two month vacation and we wish you all the best with your new venture. We can only hope to be lucky enough to make it back some day!

Eating at Sanju’s is a delight to all your senses… from the beautiful saris full of gilded color, to the sound of Indian movies and music playing in the background, to the delicious scent and taste of spices! Sanju’s is an all around fabulous eating experience!!! The food is terrific, but we especially love the hospitality and playful banter of Sanju. You can’t help but feel right at home, and we so appreciate having some cultural choices in Pocatello.

What a phenomenal experience. The food was exquisite and Sanju is host of all hosts. It wound up being a memorable and enjoyable event, both for myself and for my son. Rest assured we look forward to returning often. Thank you Sanju.
