Greetings friends! We hope all of you enjoyed a happy and safe holiday season. We thank all of you for making 2007 a successful year for us. We are blessed to know you and to have you as a friend and customer.
It has been quite a long time since we posted, so we have a lot of news to share. We have finally posted updated menus for your downloading convenience. Sorry for the delay. We are serving lamb and shrimp daily now, in addition to chicken and veggies.
We are now serving a paneer (homemade cow’s milk cheese) dish for both Friday and Saturday dinners. We are alternating between palak (spinach) paneer and shahi (royal) paneer.
Our “special” room has hosted a number of business gatherings and birthday parties since its inauguration in late October. You may book it for your gathering for a fee of $25. It is ideal for parties of 8-12, but can accommodate a few more if you don’t mind the coziness. You and your guests can dine in traditional style seated on pillows. You have the option of eating family style or ordering from the menu.
We will be listed on insidepocatello.com by the end of January. Coupon offers will be posted with our listing.
More news coming soon! Here’s wishing you a prosperous and healthy 2008!

The support from the community has been overwhelming thus far. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We strive to make our guests feel like they’re having a meal from our own home kitchen and aim to please with both quality and service. These first few weeks have been of a circus-type atmosphere as we work to make everything run more smoothly. If you have comments or suggestions about your meal or in general, please email them to sanjusdhaba@yahoo.com or pass them along to one of us before you leave. We appreciate all of you for supporting us and consider you our friends.
Thanks!

We officially opened at lunch on Friday at 330 N. Main. Our hours will be 11 – 2 and 5-8 Tuesday through Friday, and 11:30-2 and 5-8:30 on Saturday. Our hours will change somewhat as we get more settled. If you cannot make it during those times, please give us a call at 406-1285 and we’ll make arrangements to feed you! We don’t want to shut out our friends with our new schedule.
Our lunch menu will remain very much the same, with a few modifications. We will move slowly, but steadily toward expanding the dinner menu. We look forward to seeing you the next time you have a hankering for some curry!
A big thank you to everyone who helped us move, find furniture, and decorate, and who provided moral support! God bless you all! An especially big thank you to our new landlords Mike and Ella Dingman. They have gone way above and beyond the call of duty to help us make sure the building meets all city, health and fire code requirements. We are so very grateful!
Updated menus, directions, and photos coming soon!
Warm regards –

Greetings! Hope all is well with all of you. We still have workers in our kitchen (plumbers, natural gas professionals, electricians, hood suppression specialists, and inspectors!) At the current level of progress, Friday looks realistic, not Wednesday or Thursday as we have told some of you. Sorry! It’s hard to know how long these things will take. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
We will continue to post updates here to keep you in the know.
Our new wok stove is a different style than we used at Yellowstone(apparently it cooks much hotter), so it will take some time for us to get oriented. Expect our menu to stay pretty basic for a week or two while we get used to it. We are also awaiting dishes and a few other “restaurant items,” so we’ll be roughing it until everything falls into place! We won’t have a grand opening for several weeks until we can get everything humming smoothly. But we’ll be in a good position to satisfy our friends who just can’t live without their “curry fix”!
Look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you for your support!

We’ll start serving lunch at 330 N. Main on Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. Just a few details still to be taken care of! We are no longer serving at the service station on Yellowstone. We look forward to seeing you in Old Town soon!
Please send a blank email to sanjusdhaba@yahoo.com if you wish to be added to our updates list. The list will mail approximately twice a month and will provide updates on menu offerings and special offers and events.

We are making good progress on our new location, but do not have a firm date for opening yet. The biggest question is the relocation of our gas line and meter. We are hoping for an early date with Intermountain Gas.
If you frequent the downtown area, you may have noticed our storefront with the orange posterboards taped to the windows. Our new location is at 330 N. Main, two doors north of the Grecian Key and one door north of Old Town Embroidery.
We look forward to serving you better in our new location, but ask for your understanding as we get up and running. We plan to provide a wider range of food choices, but it will take some time to implement everything. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
Combos are still available at our Sinclair station from 11 to 3 Monday to Thursday, and until 6:30 on Friday and Saturday until further notice is posted here. The “Sanju’s Indian Restaurant” sign will be coming down this week for modifications, but we’re still cooking there!
See you soon!

We will have shortened hours next week to enable us to spend more time getting our new space ready. We will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm, and will remain closed on Wednesday for the holiday. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you even better in Old Town Pocatello soon.
Thank you.

I officially announced in last week’s Journal article that we have found a space of our own and we’ll be moving soon. We don’t have an exact date yet — we are still trying to track down some critical kitchen items for the new space.
We can say that we will be in Old Town, in close proximity to the new Old Town Pavilion and the Farmers’ Market. The move will be completed around the middle of next month. We expect to keep our Sinclair location open until the new location is ready.
Please watch this blog for details on our opening date, hours, menu changes, etc. We look forward to serving you in our new, colorful space! We’ll continue to offer takeout, but will have room for you to sit and enjoy your meal if you’d rather. See you soon!

We will be closed this coming week — I’m taking my mom, sister, and kids on vacation! Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Bring a copy of this post in during the week of May 7 to 12 and “Buy one, get your second combo half price!”
Thanks friends for your support!
Warm regards,
Sanju and family
